Professor Stephen Reder is an international expert in linguistics who visited Tasmania in 2014. In this interview, we chatted about some fascinating aspects of language and communication, including tipping points in literacy, Tasmanian literacy, written language in rural Liberia and literacy as an aggregate of social and economic inclusion.
